Symptoms of Urethritis in Women
Recently, I have been experiencing pain after urination, urgency, and redness and swelling at the urethral opening. I'm wondering if I might have developed urethritis. Just out of curiosity, I'd like to ask: What are the symptoms of urethritis in women?

Symptoms of Urethritis in Women:
1. Discomfort during urination: Patients with urethritis often experience a burning sensation or sharp pain while urinating, which may extend from the urethral opening to the bladder area.
2. Frequent and urgent urination: Patients may frequently feel the need to urinate, although the volume passed each time is not large, sometimes only a few drops, known as urinary frequency. At the same time, patients may feel a strong urge to urinate immediately within a short period, which is difficult to control, referred to as urgency.
3. Abnormal urine appearance: The urine of women with urethritis may appear cloudy, have an odor, or contain blood. This is caused by abnormal components such as pus, bacteria, or red blood cells in the urine due to the inflammatory response.
4. Lower abdominal discomfort: Urethritis may also irritate nerve endings around the pelvic organs, causing pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen. The severity of the pain may vary among individuals.
5. Odor and foaming: The urine may have a strong odor or produce foam during urination.
6. Discomfort during sexual intercourse: Urethritis may cause discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse.
7. Systemic symptoms: In severe cases, patients may develop systemic infection symptoms such as fever and chills.
