Symptoms of Leukoplakia of the Vulva
Recently, I have been feeling some discomfort in the vulva. After searching online, I suspect it might be vulvar leukoplakia. I would like to know what symptoms are associated with vulvar leukoplakia?

The main symptoms of leukoplakia of the vulva are manifested as follows:
1. Vulvar itching, which may be extremely intense and unbearable. Some patients may also experience a burning sensation and dryness.
2. Gradual loss of skin pigmentation, resulting in obvious white patches. The skin also becomes rough and uneven, losing its original smoothness.
3. Skin may develop cracks and increased fragility, which can lead to splitting of the vulvar skin during intercourse, causing pain and bleeding.
Leukoplakia of the vulva may be related to factors such as heredity, autoimmune conditions, hormone levels, and infections. Treatment generally involves a comprehensive approach including medication, physical therapy, or surgical intervention.
For prevention, maintain cleanliness and dryness of the vulva, avoid using strongly irritating cleansers, wear breathable underwear, maintain a balanced diet, enhance physical immunity, and undergo regular gynecological examinations.
If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek medical attention at a hospital promptly.
