Disease description:

These past few days, I noticed bright red blood in my stool when using the toilet. Strangely, there was no pain or itching at all. Every time after defecation, seeing blood in the toilet bowl makes me feel anxious. My diet has generally been regular, and I haven't consumed anything particularly spicy or irritating. Why am I still experiencing bleeding after bowel movements?

Bleeding during bowel movements with bright red blood typically indicates that the source of bleeding is near the anus or in the lower rectum. This condition can be caused by various factors.

1. Hemorrhoids: A common manifestation of varicose veins in the rectal or anal area. Internal hemorrhoids may rupture and bleed during bowel movements, usually producing bright red blood, and often without pain.

2. Anal fissure: Frequently accompanied by severe pain during defecation.

3. Constipation: Long-term constipation with hard stools can cause trauma to the mucous membrane or skin around the anus due to straining during bowel movements, leading to anal fissures and subsequent bright red bleeding.

4. Rectal polyps: These are abnormal growths on the surface of the intestinal mucosa, which may bleed when rubbed by stools, resulting in bright red blood in the stool.

5. Rectal cancer: Low rectal cancer may cause bright red rectal bleeding when it involves blood vessels.

It is recommended to visit a hospital for examination immediately. At the same time, maintaining good dietary habits, increasing dietary fiber intake, avoiding prolonged sitting and excessive straining during bowel movements may help reduce symptom occurrence.
