Main causes of shoulder pain:

1. Strain and trauma: Prolonged repetitive overhead movements or vigorous physical activities, as well as shoulder injuries such as fractures, dislocations, and sprains, can all lead to shoulder pain. Strain is usually accompanied by limited range of motion, and symptoms may improve with rest; whereas injuries may present with swelling, deformity, and functional impairment.

2. Arthritis: Including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, both of these conditions can cause shoulder joint pain and restricted movement.

3. Frozen shoulder: This condition involves stiffness and pain in the tissues surrounding the shoulder joint, commonly occurring in individuals between 40 and 60 years of age.

4. Cervical spondylosis: During episodes of cervical spine disease, nerve roots may become compressed, causing shoulder pain, and may also be accompanied by neck pain and limited mobility.

5. Poor posture: Maintaining poor posture for extended periods, such as looking down at a phone or computer screen for long durations, can lead to shoulder muscle tension and pain.

If shoulder pain persists or significantly affects daily life, it is recommended to seek medical evaluation at a hospital immediately.
