What to do for heatstroke in summer
After staying outdoors for a long time, I feel dizzy, nauseous, and weak all over. I suspect I have heatstroke. I'm feeling really unwell now and don't know what to do. Can I take Huoxiang Zhengqi Water (Agastache Wholesome Qi Water) for heatstroke during summer? What are some other effective and quick ways to relieve heatstroke symptoms?

When people are active for extended periods in high-temperature environments, their heat dissipation mechanisms can easily become disrupted, leading to heatstroke. Mild cases of heatstroke may present symptoms such as dizziness, thirst, nausea, and cool, moist skin. In severe cases, however, the situation can be far more critical, potentially involving high fever, coma, or even convulsions.
Measures to manage heatstroke:
1. Move the patient to a cool, well-ventilated area and loosen their clothing to facilitate heat dissipation.
2. Apply cold water or ice packs to the patient's head, armpits, and groin areas to help lower body temperature.
3. Provide the patient with an appropriate amount of lightly salted water or electrolyte-containing beverages to replenish lost fluids and salts.
4. In cases of severe heatstroke, immediately call emergency services. While waiting for the ambulance, continue implementing physical cooling measures, such as sponge baths with cool water.
Prevention of heatstroke involves avoiding prolonged exposure to high temperatures, especially during midday hours, and minimizing outdoor activities. Additionally, appropriate heat prevention and cooling measures should be taken.
