Disease description:

I am 40 years old this year. Recently, when I get up in the morning and start walking, the bottom of my foot hurts severely. The pain eases slightly after walking for a while, but it still persists. I would like to ask everyone, what medication is best for treating plantar fasciitis like mine? It's really worrying; this foot pain is greatly affecting my life.

Plantar fasciitis mainly presents as pain in the heel or bottom of the foot, especially evident during the first steps after waking up in the morning. This pain may originate from inflammation of the plantar fascia, a tough band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. The plantar fascia bears significant pressure during daily activities, and inflammation can be caused by overuse, wearing improper footwear, being overweight, or having abnormal foot structure.

1. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): These medications are the first-line treatment for plantar fasciitis because they have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Commonly used oral medications include ibuprofen capsules, celecoxib capsules, and loxoprofen sodium tablets. These drugs can effectively reduce pain and swelling caused by inflammation.

2. Topical treatments: Using topical creams or gels containing anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as indomethacin gel, can act directly on the affected area, reducing systemic side effects.

3. Topical ointments: Such as Voltaren Emulgel (diclofenac gel) or Bai Mai ointment, can be applied directly to the painful area on the sole, achieving anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects through skin penetration.

4. Patches: Such as flurbiprofen plasters or loxoprofen sodium patches, can be applied to the painful area on the sole, continuously releasing medication to relieve pain and inflammation.

5. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment: TCM therapies can also be selected, such as oral or topical administration of Chinese herbal medicines that promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, relax muscles, and relieve pain.
