For the treatment of left-sided tinnitus, it is necessary to determine the underlying cause of the tinnitus. Tinnitus is a common symptom characterized by the perception of sound in the auditory system without an external sound source. It can be unilateral or bilateral, and persistent or intermittent. Left-sided tinnitus may be caused by various factors, including diseases of the external, middle, or inner ear, neurological disorders, vascular conditions, and medication side effects.

1. Establishing a diagnosis: A clear diagnosis should be made through otoscopic examination and audiologic tests, followed by treatment targeting the specific cause of the tinnitus. If the cause is an inflammatory condition such as otitis media, anti-inflammatory medications like cefixime may be prescribed, along with local cleaning and care. If the tinnitus is of neural origin, neurotrophic agents such as mecobalamin tablets may be used, and treatments such as electrical stimulation therapy or masking therapy may be considered. In cases of pulsatile tinnitus caused by vascular issues, surgical or interventional treatment options may be explored.

2. Medication therapy: For idiopathic tinnitus or tinnitus associated with inner ear disorders, medications aimed at improving microcirculation and providing neural nutrition, such as ginkgo biloba extract and mecobalamin, may be tried.

3. Sound therapy: External sounds from white noise machines or music therapy can be used to mask the tinnitus and reduce its disturbance to the patient.

4. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): According to TCM theory, methods such as acupuncture and herbal medicine may be employed to regulate organ function and alleviate tinnitus.
