Whether neurogenic tinnitus can be restored mainly depends on its duration and treatment status. If the disease course is short and active treatment is administered, recovery is usually possible. However, if the condition has persisted for a long time, the difficulty of treatment increases, making recovery potentially challenging.

Neurogenic tinnitus is a common auditory system disorder, primarily characterized by persistent ringing or noise within the ear in the absence of an external sound source. If the disease course is short, there is a higher likelihood of recovery following active treatments such as hormone therapy, vasodilator medications, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. During the acute phase, the cure rate is relatively high, and patients can promote recovery through drug treatment, improved lifestyle habits, and other approaches.

However, if the disease course is prolonged, the difficulty of treatment correspondingly increases, and the effectiveness of recovery may be unsatisfactory. At this stage, the treatment goal may shift toward alleviating symptoms and improving quality of life, for instance, using psychotherapy or tinnitus retraining therapy to help patients adapt to and tolerate the tinnitus.

During the treatment process, patients are advised to maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, attend regular follow-up appointments, and adhere to medical instructions.
