How to improve very dry skin
My boyfriend and I both have dry skin, and during winter our legs especially develop white flaky patches that are both painful and itchy. We would like to consult a doctor about how to improve our dry skin issues.

Skin dryness usually presents symptoms such as tightness, flaking, itching, and a sensation of tightness. Effectively improving dry skin can begin with the following measures:
1. Moisturizing: Choose products containing ingredients such as glycerin, urea, and hyaluronic acid, which help the skin retain moisture and reduce water evaporation.
2. Daily hydration: Maintaining adequate water intake is fundamental for improving dry skin. It is recommended to consume 2000 mL of water daily, preferably warm boiled water, following the principle of small amounts frequently.
3. Environmental adjustments: In dry seasons or environments, using a humidifier to increase indoor humidity can reduce skin moisture evaporation and alleviate dryness symptoms.
4. Dietary adjustments: Consume more fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and foods rich in vitamins, such as vitamins A, C, and E, all of which help improve dry skin.
5. Skincare timing and methods: Choose appropriate times for skincare, such as thoroughly cleansing the face in the morning and promptly applying toner and moisturizing lotion. After taking a bath at night is also an ideal time for skincare, as the pores across the body are open, facilitating better moisture absorption by the skin.
