Hypertension of uric acid, or elevated uric acid levels, is an important risk factor for diseases such as gout and uric acid nephropathy. Chicken and duck meat are considered moderate-purine foods, and purines are precursors of uric acid. Excessive intake of purines can increase uric acid production in the body and may exacerbate hyperuricemia.

Patients with high uric acid levels should follow a low-purine diet to control uric acid levels. This means limiting the intake of high-purine foods, such as animal offal and seafood. For patients with elevated uric acid levels, it is recommended to restrict or moderately consume chicken and duck meat. Choosing skinless, lean cuts and using low-fat cooking methods such as steaming or stewing are advised, while avoiding high-temperature cooking methods such as frying and grilling to reduce the release and absorption of purines. Increasing consumption of fiber-rich foods such as vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, along with adequate hydration, can help promote uric acid excretion and maintain stable uric acid levels.
