How to Treat Red Eye Disease in 8-Year-Old Children
My child is 8 years old and has developed conjunctivitis (pink eye). How should conjunctivitis be treated in an 8-year-old child?

For bacterial conjunctivitis, antibiotic eye drops are recommended, such as ofloxacin eye drops, lomefloxacin eye drops, tobramycin eye drops, etc. For viral conjunctivitis, antiviral eye drops are recommended, such as ganciclovir eye drops, acyclovir eye drops, interferon eye drops, etc. When there is excessive eye discharge, the eyes can be rinsed with normal saline and wiped with sterile cotton swabs, avoiding the use of hands. Maintain good eye hygiene and avoid rubbing the eyes with hands. Be careful not to share personal hygiene items, such as towels and washbasins, with others to prevent cross-infection.
