If a baby's persistent cough is caused by pneumonia, ribavirin granules may be administered under a doctor's guidance. If the cough is due to a common cold, oral administration of isatidis root granules may be taken under medical supervision. Furthermore, pediatric phlegm-resolving and cough-relieving granules may also be taken as directed by a physician. It is also advisable for the child to drink more water to stay hydrated.
