How to treat tinnitus
Recently, there has been a persistent ringing sound in my ear. It's more noticeable at night when it's quiet, although it's bearable during the day. After an examination, I was told it's tinnitus. I would like to know how tinnitus can be treated?

Tinnitus may be caused by unfavorable living environments, such as long-term exposure to environments with severe noise pollution. It is recommended to move away from such environments promptly and maintain quietness in residential and workplace settings.
For tinnitus caused by conditions such as otitis media or neurological factors, appropriate medications—such as Amoxicillin capsules, Roxithromycin tablets, Mecobalamin tablets, and Oryzanol tablets—may be used under a doctor's guidance. If tinnitus is caused by factors such as damage to the eardrum, surgical treatments, such as tympanoplasty, may be followed as per medical advice.
Behavioral therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT), aim to help patients change their attitudes and reactions toward tinnitus and improve their quality of life. Maintaining good sleep habits, avoiding caffeine and alcohol consumption, and reducing stress can help alleviate tinnitus symptoms.
Tinnitus treatment is a long-term process that requires close cooperation between the patient and the physician, employing a combination of various methods to achieve optimal results. During treatment, patients should remain patient, actively follow the doctor's instructions, and avoid self-medicating to prevent worsening of the condition.
