Introduction
In most cases, newborn tear duct blockage is caused by foreign matter in the nasolacrimal duct, and symptoms can be improved through massage. Before massaging, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly to avoid causing harm to the newborn's eyes. Locate the massage point at the acupoint of the infant's lacrimal sac, where the bridge of the nose and the inner corner of the eye meet. Place your finger over the tear sac area and apply gentle pressure toward the bony orbital wall.

Under normal circumstances, newborn tear duct blockage is caused by foreign matter in the nasolacrimal duct, and symptoms can be improved through massage. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before massaging to avoid causing harm to the newborn's eyes.

2. Locate the massage point at the acupoint of the infant's tear gland, which is the intersection between the bridge of the nose and the inner corner of the eye.

3. Place your finger over the lacrimal sac area and press firmly toward the bony surface.

4. After pressing, gently slide downward along the direction of the nasal bone.

5. Repeat this motion three times, and observe the infant's condition after completing the massage.

If after one week of massage there is no improvement in the infant's condition, or if pus appears around both eyes, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
