Introduction
Raised white spots after wound healing may be related to factors such as milia, granulation tissue growth, wound infection, fat liquefaction, or scar tissue proliferation. If you experience any discomfort, it is recommended to seek medical attention immediately. In cases of raised white spots following wound healing, avoid consuming spicy, raw, or cold irritants such as chili peppers, mustard, chilled watermelon, and ice cream, as they may interfere with the healing process.

Under normal circumstances, the appearance of raised white spots after wound healing may be related to factors such as milia, granulation tissue growth, wound infection, fat liquefaction, or scar tissue hyperplasia. If discomfort occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention immediately. Detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Milia

Milia are caused by skin damage due to irritating ingredients in cosmetics. Improper skincare techniques can easily create tiny wounds on the skin, leading to small white raised bumps after wound healing, which may be accompanied by itching. Usually, no special treatment is required, and these spots often resolve spontaneously.

2. Granulation Tissue Growth

Granulation tissue is a type of tissue formed by the body to repair injuries, composed of newly formed thin-walled capillaries and proliferating fibroblasts. During the wound healing process, subcutaneous granulation tissue typically begins to grow within 3–5 days, potentially causing small white spots at the healed wound site, sometimes accompanied by mild itching. This is a normal phenomenon and generally does not require specific treatment.

3. Wound Infection

Wound infection refers to a condition in which various microorganisms invade the body through broken skin, colonize, multiply to a certain extent, and trigger local or even systemic inflammatory responses. Poor hygiene at the healing site may lead to blockage of sweat glands, hair follicles, and sebaceous gland ducts, resulting in raised white spots after healing, possibly accompanied by pain. Treatment under a doctor's guidance may include medications such as amoxicillin capsules, azithromycin tablets, or roxithromycin capsules.

4. Fat Liquefaction

Fat liquefaction refers to aseptic necrosis of a large amount of fat at the surgical incision site following surgery. In patients with obesity or poor wound healing, fat liquefaction may occur, leading to raised white spots at the wound site, possibly accompanied by redness, swelling, and pain. If necessary, treatment under medical supervision may involve draining excess liquefied fat.

5. Scar Hyperplasia

Scar hyperplasia is caused by excessive proliferation of fibrous connective tissue. In individuals with a predisposition to scarring (scar-prone体质), hyperplastic scars may develop after wound healing, resulting in raised white spots at the wound site. Patients may be advised to use topical medications such as madecassol cream, adapalene gel, or tretinoin cream under medical guidance.

If raised white spots appear after wound healing, patients should avoid consuming spicy, raw, or cold irritants such as chili peppers, mustard, chilled watermelon, and ice cream, as these may interfere with the recovery process.
