Introduction
White, tofu-like debris in the vagina may be caused by ovulation, menstrual cycle changes, early pregnancy, presence of foreign bodies in the vagina, bacterial vaginosis, cervicitis, or other reasons. Around the time of ovulation, due to fluctuations in estrogen levels, women may notice changes in the consistency and amount of vaginal discharge, which sometimes appears similar to white, crumbly tofu.

In general, the presence of white, curd-like substances in the vagina may be caused by ovulation and menstrual cycle changes, early pregnancy, vaginal foreign bodies, bacterial vaginosis, cervicitis, or other factors. If discomfort occurs, seek medical attention promptly. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Ovulation and Menstrual Cycle Changes

Around the time of ovulation, due to fluctuations in estrogen levels, women may notice changes in the texture and amount of vaginal discharge, sometimes appearing similar to white curds. No special treatment is required; maintain good personal hygiene, change underwear regularly, and use mild cleansers to clean the external genital area.

2. Early Pregnancy

In early pregnancy, hormonal changes may lead to increased vaginal discharge with altered consistency, occasionally resembling white curd-like material. Maintain healthy lifestyle habits, avoid exposure to harmful substances, and ensure a balanced diet.

3. Vaginal Foreign Body

Sometimes a foreign object, such as a forgotten tampon, may remain in the vagina, potentially causing abnormal discharge and resulting in a white, curd-like appearance. If a vaginal foreign body is suspected, seek medical care promptly for removal, along with necessary cleaning and disinfection.

4. Bacterial Vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis is caused by overgrowth of various bacteria in the vagina. The metabolic products of these bacteria alter the nature of vaginal secretions, leading to the aforementioned symptoms, possibly accompanied by mild itching or odor. It is recommended to follow medical advice and use medications such as metronidazole tablets, clindamycin hydrochloride capsules, or ornidazole tablets for treatment.

5. Cervicitis

Cervicitis may result from infections caused by bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens. Inflammation can increase cervical secretions and alter their characteristics, sometimes leading to white, curd-like vaginal discharge. Symptoms may include pain during intercourse or irregular bleeding. Treatment should follow medical guidance and may include medications such as Baofukang suppositories, cefixime dispersible tablets, or Zhidai Xiaomisu suppositories.

Maintain a regular daily routine and ensure adequate sleep and rest.
