What Are the Symptoms of Epididymitis?
Disease description:
I’ve recently been experiencing mild pain in my testicles, but I haven’t yet visited a hospital for evaluation. I’m unsure whether it’s orchitis, and I’d like to learn about the symptoms of epididymitis.
Orchitis is commonly caused by bacterial infections of the urinary tract and other reproductive organs, which spread to the epididymis. Common symptoms of orchitis include scrotal pain, swelling, and erythema; urinary urgency, frequency, and dysuria; and urethral discharge. In chronic orchitis, the epididymis appears thickened and enlarged, and the vas deferens may appear thickened.
