The time to return to work after appendicitis surgery depends on the individual patient's condition. For mild cases of appendicitis, patients may resume work within one or two days. After surgery for typical acute appendicitis, if there was significant inflammation, it is best to wait at least two weeks before returning to work. For strenuous physical activities, it is advisable to wait one month. However, for light or simple tasks, patients may return to work as early as one week after surgery. Laparoscopic appendectomy is an excellent surgical approach that effectively improves patient recovery rates and promotes better postoperative wound healing.
