I was previously diagnosed with uterine fibroids during a hospital check-up. Recently, I've been feeling soreness in my lower back. I'm not sure if this is caused by the fibroids. Could uterine fibroids cause lower back pain?

Uterine fibroids usually cause lower back pain. If the fibroid is located on the posterior wall of the uterus and is relatively large in size, or if there are multiple fibroids causing overall enlargement of the uterus, it may compress the nerves in the lower back, resulting in backache. When uterine fibroids occur, patients are advised to promptly seek medical treatment at a hospital for surgical removal of the fibroids, restoring the uterus to its normal shape and relieving symptoms of lower back pain.
