Why do I get diarrhea after drinking beer?

I had a small amount of beer during a work-related social event today and ended up with diarrhea all day after returning home. Why does drinking beer trigger diarrhea?

This could be caused by liver damage. Alcohol is metabolized in the liver; therefore, chronic and excessive alcohol consumption can overload the liver and cause hepatic injury, leading to impaired liver function. As a result, insufficient bile is secreted, compromising fat digestion and potentially causing indigestion and diarrhea.
