How to Relieve Right-Sided Migraine
The method for relieving right-sided migraines depends on the underlying cause. Common clinical causes include right frontal sinusitis, trigeminal neuralgia, and right otitis media.
1. Right Frontal Sinusitis
If right-sided migraine is caused by right frontal sinusitis, antibiotic injections may be administered under medical guidance to reduce inflammation. Commonly used medications include cefoperazone and ceftriaxone sodium. Oral antibiotics such as metronidazole or ornidazole may also be prescribed in combination.
2. Trigeminal Neuralgia
If the symptoms are due to trigeminal neuralgia, antiepileptic medications may be recommended by a doctor. Commonly used drugs include carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine.
3. Right Otitis Media
If the migraine is triggered by right otitis media, it is typically due to nerve pain from the middle ear spreading to nerves in the head. Treatment may involve using anti-inflammatory ear drops as directed by a physician. Commonly used ear drops include levofloxacin otic solution and lomefloxacin otic solution. Oral anti-inflammatory medications such as amoxicillin or clarithromycin may also be used in conjunction.
