Effective methods for relieving pharyngitis
If a patient develops inflammation in the throat, symptoms such as redness, swelling, and pain may occur. Nebulized inhalation treatment at a hospital can effectively reduce mucosal edema and congestion and relieve pain. The specific procedure is as follows.

1. The patient should sit or take a semi-reclining position. Thirty minutes before treatment, the patient should rest quietly and avoid strenuous activity.
2. The doctor adds medication and 30–50 ml of normal saline into the nebulizer chamber.
3. Connect the device to power and allow it to warm up and prime for 3–5 minutes. After the doctor adjusts the flow rate appropriately, the patient should place the nebulizer mouthpiece in the mouth, hold it gently with the teeth, close the lips tightly around it, and perform slow, deep breathing for 15–20 minutes.
4. After treatment, the doctor turns off the power switch, and the patient may then leave.
