Introduction
The recurrence rate of ovarian serous cystadenoma is not very high, and it is mainly related to the quality of surgery and the patient's own recovery condition. Ovarian serous tumors are epithelial ovarian tumors with malignant potential, lying between benign adenomas and cancer. When the tumor is completely removed by surgery, and the patient gets adequate rest postoperatively with good endometrial recovery, the recurrence rate of the cyst can be further reduced.

Ovarian serous cystadenoma has a relatively low recurrence rate, which is mainly related to the quality of the patient's surgery and individual recovery condition.

Ovarian serous tumors are epithelial ovarian tumors with malignant potential, lying between benign adenomas and carcinomas. The cystic fluid is usually clear, straw-yellow, and serous, though occasionally it may be turbid or even blood-tinged. These tumors exhibit diverse growth patterns and morphological variations, particularly frequent papillary growth with various forms. Bilateral involvement is more common than in other types of epithelial tumors. In terms of histological classification, benign and borderline tumors can be categorized as cystadenoma, papillary cystadenoma, surface papillary tumor, adenofibroma, and cystic adenofibroma. Malignant types include adenocarcinoma, papillary adenocarcinoma, surface papillary adenocarcinoma, adenocarcinofibroma, and cystadenocarcinofibroma.

When surgical removal is thorough, adequate rest after surgery, and good endometrial recovery, the recurrence rate of cysts can be significantly reduced. However, if the cyst is not completely removed during surgery, or if the patient neglects self-care postoperatively—such as staying up late frequently, or having a history of smoking and alcohol consumption—the risk of cyst recurrence may be relatively higher.
