Does lying flat with an anteverted uterus affect the outflow?
Generally, lying flat after intercourse will not affect conception when the uterus is in an anterior position, as there is little difference between an anterior or posterior uterine position. As long as ejaculation occurs inside the vagina, sperm will normally enter the uterus; even if some semen leaks out afterward, it does not significantly impact the chances of pregnancy.
Lying down after intercourse with an anterior-positioned uterus does not affect a woman's ability to conceive. During intercourse, thousands of sperm are released into the vaginal canal. As long as one healthy sperm successfully passes through the cervix, enters the uterine cavity and reaches the fallopian tube where it combines with an egg in the ampulla to form a fertilized embryo, pregnancy can occur. However, if a woman has cervical or tubal adhesions, or if her endometrium is too thin, the egg and sperm may fail to unite. Even if fertilization occurs, insufficient endometrial nourishment may lead to miscarriage when the embryo implants into the uterine cavity. Therefore, women should undergo thorough reproductive system evaluations before conceiving and also consider whether their male partner has any factors contributing to infertility.
During preconception, women should avoid anxiety and excessive mental stress, as high psychological pressure can sometimes make conception more difficult. Maintaining regular menstrual cycles, normal ovulation, and patent fallopian tubes is sufficient for most couples trying to conceive.
