Can you eat cherries when you have a stye?
Generally, people with a stye can eat cherries, but only in moderation.
A stye is usually an eyelid condition caused by viral or bacterial infection of the sebaceous glands at the base of the eyelash follicles or the meibomian glands along the eyelid margin. Cherries are a common fruit rich in vitamins, trace elements, and minerals. They have benefits such as strengthening the spleen and stomach and improving blood circulation and energy. Eating cherries in appropriate amounts can help replenish the body's needed fluids and nutrients without negatively affecting a stye.
However, although cherries are beneficial, they should not be consumed excessively. In particular, individuals with a "hot" body constitution should avoid eating too many to prevent internal heat buildup, which may hinder recovery from the condition.
