Do you wear pants during a color Doppler ultrasound of the lower limb blood vessels?
For lower extremity vascular ultrasound, patients can wear loose-fitting long pants or very short shorts.
A lower extremity vascular ultrasound uses imaging technology to scan the blood vessels in a patient's legs. Before the examination, it is recommended to wear loose long pants so they can be easily rolled up during the scan, exposing the areas that need to be examined and facilitating the procedure. Alternatively, patients may wear very short shorts to avoid cumbersome clothing that could interfere with the examination or waste time. To protect patient privacy, it is generally not necessary to completely remove lower-body clothing during this exam; therefore, appropriate attire should be chosen beforehand.
Lower extremity vascular ultrasound can assess the condition of arteries and veins in the legs, playing an important role in diagnosing and preventing related diseases. Patients diagnosed with such conditions should follow their doctor’s recommendations for treatment based on the results. Additionally, prolonged standing should be avoided in daily life to prevent poor blood circulation and potential complications.
