Red, blister-like patches on the skin may be caused by conditions such as eczema, papular urticaria, or herpes zoster, and prompt medical treatment at a hospital is necessary. Specific causes are as follows:

1. Eczema

Eczema is typically an inflammatory skin condition that may be triggered by various internal or external factors. Its characteristics include symmetrically distributed blisters and papules. Treatment may involve topical application of medications such as desonide cream or tacrolimus ointment under a doctor's guidance.

2. Papular Urticaria

This is an allergic skin condition caused by insect bites. It is characterized by sudden onset of edematous papules, which may have small blisters at the top and are accompanied by intense itching. Treatment options under medical supervision include calamine lotion or oral cyproheptadine hydrochloride tablets.

3. Dyshidrotic Eczema (Pompholyx)

When sweat discharge is obstructed, sweat accumulates beneath the skin due to blocked sweat ducts, leading to the formation of clear, small blisters. Under a doctor’s direction, treatment may include oral prednisone acetate tablets, oryzanol tablets, or topical application of mometasone furoate cream.

In addition to the above causes, similar symptoms may also result from herpes zoster, body ringworm, or tinea manuum/pedis. Avoid scratching with hands and maintain cleanliness in the affected areas.
