Introduction
In general, endometrial cancer refers to cancer of the endometrium, which is a group of epithelial malignant tumors arising from the endometrium. Whether the endometrium thickens in endometrial cancer depends on the stage of disease progression. In the early stages of the disease, the endometrium usually does not thicken; however, during the late or progressive stages, the endometrium may become thickened.

In general, endometrial cancer refers to cancer of the endometrium—the mucous membrane lining the uterus—and is a group of epithelial malignant tumors arising from the endometrium. Whether the endometrium thickens in endometrial cancer depends on the stage of disease progression. In the early stages of the disease, the endometrium usually does not thicken; however, during advanced or progressive stages, endometrial thickening may occur. The details are as follows:

In the early stages of the disease, if any uterine discomfort or symptoms appear, it is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation and treatment at a reputable hospital. Endometrial cancer may not present obvious symptoms initially, and the thickness of the endometrium may still remain within the normal range. Additionally, certain pathological types, such as serous adenocarcinoma or clear cell carcinoma, may invade the myometrium even in the early stages without necessarily causing significant endometrial thickening.

In advanced or progressive stages, due to cancer cell spread and proliferation, the thickness of the endometrium may increase significantly, exceeding the normal range.

The relationship between endometrial cancer and endometrial thickness is not constant. Women who have related symptoms or high-risk factors should undergo regular gynecological examinations, particularly ultrasound imaging. It is also important to maintain good personal hygiene, a positive mental state, a balanced diet, and actively cooperate with medical treatments.
