Our company conducts routine physical examinations, one of which involves blood drawing—apparently for blood glucose testing. I’d like to ask: What is the normal blood glucose level for healthy individuals?

A healthy person’s blood glucose level ranges from 3.9 to 6.1 mmol/L. A fasting blood glucose level above 6.1 mmol/L indicates impaired fasting glucose, a stage that warrants attention—strict dietary control and appropriate physical activity are essential at this point. Otherwise, if the fasting blood glucose rises to or exceeds 7.0 mmol/L, diabetes can be diagnosed. Additionally, a postprandial (2-hour after meal) blood glucose level exceeding 11.1 mmol/L also confirms a diagnosis of diabetes.
