In our company's routine physical examination, there is a blood test involved, apparently for checking blood sugar levels. I'd like to ask, what is the normal blood sugar level for a healthy person?

The normal blood glucose level varies depending on the timing of measurement. Generally, the normal range for fasting blood glucose is 4.4–6.1 mmol/L, while the normal value for blood glucose two hours after a meal should be less than 7.8 mmol/L. Fasting blood glucose refers to the glucose level measured after abstaining from food for 8–12 hours, whereas the two-hour postprandial glucose level is measured starting from the first bite of a meal. These two indicators together form an important basis for assessing blood glucose levels. If blood glucose levels exceed these ranges, it may suggest the presence of glucose metabolism disorders, requiring further examination and diagnosis. Additionally, it should be noted that abnormally low blood glucose levels (such as below 2.8 mmol/L) are also considered abnormal and may cause symptoms of hypoglycemia, warranting attention and treatment as well.
