What does it mean to have an anteverted uterus?
Disease description:
When I went to the hospital for a gynecological examination, the doctor told me that my uterus is in an anterior position. I don't quite understand this—what does it mean to have an anteverted uterus?
An anteverted uterus may refer to the uterus being positioned more forward in the pelvic cavity during a uterine examination. If there are no obvious discomforts or symptoms, treatment may not be necessary at this stage. This condition could be a physiological manifestation caused by abnormal development, but it cannot rule out other causes such as uterine polyps, uterine fibroids, or other malignant lesions. When necessary, further medical evaluation at a hospital is recommended to identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate management.
