Disease description:

My wife is pregnant, and during the prenatal checkup, the doctor said she has an anterior uterus. I'd like to know what's the difference between an anterior and posterior uterus?

Dr. Chen Zhe
The difference between an anteverted and a retroverted uterus lies in the directional positioning of the uterus. An anteverted uterus tilts forward toward the abdominal wall, whereas a retroverted uterus tilts backward toward the spine. Both anteverted and retroverted positions are normal uterine orientations, neither causing harm to the body nor affecting normal conception and childbirth.
