A right epididymal cyst refers to a cystic lesion occurring in the right epididymis of males, commonly found in the head of the epididymis. This type of cyst originates from the epithelial cells of the efferent ductules of the rete testis and can vary in diameter from several millimeters to several centimeters. It is usually unilocular but may occasionally be divided into multiple chambers. When the cyst measures between 5 mm and 10 mm, it may be palpable as a round mass, but typically causes no pain—only a sensation of heaviness or fullness in the scrotum. Cysts smaller than 10 mm generally do not affect fertility. However, if the cyst exceeds 10 mm in size and is accompanied by significant pain, surgical treatment may be required. Patients should seek timely medical evaluation to determine the cyst size and receive standardized treatment according to medical advice.
