The main symptoms of epididymoorchitis include: 1. Pain: Noticeable pain in the area of the spermatic cord and testicles, which may radiate to the groin, suprapubic or infra-pubic regions, and scrotal area. 2. Swelling: Swelling occurs in the spermatic cord and testicular regions; the scrotal skin may become red and swollen, with a sensation of heaviness in the scrotum. The spermatic cord may thicken and adhere to surrounding tissues. 3. Temperature changes: Patients may experience elevated body temperature or even persistent fever. 4. Abnormal urethral discharge: Inflammation-induced congestion of the urethral mucosa and increased secretions may lead to increased discharge from the urethral opening, abnormal color, and unpleasant odor. Epididymoorchitis is generally caused by localized infection and requires timely medical treatment to prevent disease progression.
