Symptoms of Non-gonococcal Urethritis
Recently, I've been feeling that urinating is very painful, and I'm worried I might have urethritis. I really want to ask, what are the symptoms of non-gonococcal urethritis?

Non-gonococcal urethritis is a type of urethritis caused by various pathogens. Its main symptoms include:
1. Urethral discharge: A small amount of thin serous or purulent discharge, which may appear white or yellow, can be seen oozing from the urethral opening, especially after prolonged periods without urination or before the first urination in the morning. This discharge may result from the stimulation of inflammatory mediators and cytokines.
2. Dysuria: A burning sensation, stinging pain, or discomfort may be experienced during urination, caused by urine irritating the inflamed urethral mucosa.
3. Frequency and urgency of urination: Patients may feel the need to urinate frequently, even with small volumes of urine, often accompanied by a strong urge to urinate.
4. Sexual dysfunction: Some male patients may experience erectile dysfunction or pain during ejaculation.
5. Mild urethral redness and swelling: Due to the stimulation of inflammatory factors, the urethral opening may appear red and swollen, sometimes accompanied by eversion of the urethral mucosa. This swelling is usually accompanied by pain or tenderness.
If you experience the above symptoms, it is recommended to seek medical attention promptly.
