What are the symptoms of male fungal urethritis?
I have been experiencing urethral pain these days. After an examination, the doctor told me I have fungal urethritis. What are the symptoms of fungal urethritis?

Candidal urethritis, commonly referred to as fungal urethritis, is an inflammation of the urethra caused by fungal infections such as Candida. The main symptoms of this condition include:
1. Frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination: Patients may feel the need to urinate frequently, although the volume passed each time is usually small; pain or a burning sensation may be experienced during urination.
2. Increased urethral discharge: Fungal infection can cause shedding and necrosis of urethral mucosal cells, resulting in white, purulent discharge. This discharge is typically noticed upon waking in the morning, is relatively thick in consistency, and may sometimes be observed by squeezing the base of the penis.
3. Redness and swelling of the urethral opening: Inflammatory factors irritate the urethral mucosa, causing local congestion and edema, which leads to redness and swelling of the urethral opening. Pain or a burning sensation may accompany palpation.
4. Pain during sexual intercourse: Discomfort or pain may be experienced during sexual activity.
5. Itching in the perineal area: The perineal region, which lies between the anus and the genitalia, may experience itching.
6. Erythema of the glans penis: Red patches may appear on the glans penis, sometimes accompanied by mild peeling of the skin.
