This condition, in which a person vomits immediately after eating, is known as "immediate postprandial vomiting" or "early-onset vomiting." Common causes include:

1. Gastric dysfunction: Conditions such as gastritis, peptic ulcer, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can impair gastric function, preventing normal digestion of food and thus causing vomiting.

2. Viral infections: Such as influenza or gastroenteritis-type colds, which can disrupt gastrointestinal function and lead to vomiting.

3. Food poisoning: Consuming spoiled, toxic, or contaminated food can cause acute gastroenteritis, manifesting as vomiting immediately after eating.

4. Psychological factors: Anxiety, tension, fear, and other psychological factors may also cause neurogenic vomiting.

5. Medication side effects: Certain medications, particularly antibiotics and chemotherapy drugs, can provoke gastrointestinal reactions, including vomiting.

6. Other systemic diseases: Such as hyperthyroidism and diabetic ketoacidosis, which may also present with vomiting symptoms.

If this condition occurs, timely medical attention is recommended. Prior to a definitive diagnosis, self-medication should be avoided to prevent masking the illness or worsening symptoms.
