Introduction
In general, episodic heat sensations in the buttocks may be related to factors such as excessively hot surrounding environments, eczema, perianal abscess, tinea cruris (jock itch), lumbar disc herniation, and others. Patients are advised to undergo symptomatic treatment as directed by a physician. Additionally, such symptoms may also be associated with conditions like neuritis or anal fissures. If patients experience discomfort, they should promptly seek medical attention at a hospital to avoid delaying diagnosis and treatment.

Generally, episodic heat sensations in the buttocks may be related to factors such as excessively hot surrounding environments, eczema, perianal abscess, tinea cruris (jock itch), lumbar disc herniation, and others. Patients are advised to undergo symptomatic treatment under medical guidance. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Hot Surrounding Environment

If the surrounding environment is excessively hot, it may cause capillaries in the buttocks to dilate, leading to a sensation of heat. This can be improved by lowering the ambient temperature. Wiping the body with lukewarm water regularly may also help.

2. Eczema

Eczema is an inflammatory skin reaction caused by various internal and external factors. It may cause a feeling of heat and burning in the buttocks, often accompanied by symptoms such as skin papules, vesicles, itching, erosion, and exudation. Patients may use medications such as hydrocortisone butyrate cream or halometasone cream under medical supervision.

3. Perianal Abscess

This refers to an infection occurring in or around the anus, anal canal, or rectum, which can spread into the loose fatty connective tissue within the rectoanal spaces, forming an abscess. Main symptoms include redness, swelling, and tenderness of the perianal skin; sometimes a hard mass can be felt. Other symptoms may include perianal itching, rashes, fever, and pus discharge. Patients may take medications such as lactulose oral solution or streptomycin sulfate tablets under medical guidance.

4. Tinea Cruris (Jock Itch)

This is a fungal infection affecting the groin area, which may also cause a sensation of heat and burning in the buttocks. It typically presents with scaly red patches on the skin of the groin, often ring-shaped or semicircular, accompanied by itching and other discomforts. Patients may apply antifungal creams such as ketoconazole cream or miconazole nitrate cream under medical supervision.

5. Lumbar Disc Herniation

In patients with lumbar disc herniation, the protruding disc may compress nearby nerves, affecting the innervated areas and causing abnormal sensations. Therefore, localized heat sensation in the buttocks may not reflect an actual rise in body temperature, but rather a neurological symptom caused by nerve compression due to disc herniation. Treatment may include medications such as Yaotongning tablets or mecobalamin tablets, as prescribed by a physician.

In addition, this symptom may also be associated with conditions such as neuritis or anal fissures. If patients experience persistent discomfort, they should seek timely medical evaluation at a hospital to avoid delays in diagnosis and treatment.
