What causes persistent twitching of the upper eyelid of the right eye?
Disease description:
My eyes have been uncomfortable lately, and my right upper eyelid has been twitching constantly. What could be causing this?
Persistent twitching of the upper eyelid of the right eye may be caused by eyelid spasm, which commonly occurs due to eye strain. Prolonged activities such as staring at mobile phones or watching television can lead to eye fatigue and subsequent eyelid spasm. Additionally, irritation of the cornea or conjunctiva—such as from conjunctival foreign bodies or meibomian gland cysts—can also cause eyelid twitching.
