Which side is the heart on?

The heart is one of the most vital organs in the human body, located in the thoracic cavity to the left of the sternum. Its primary function is to pump blood, delivering oxygen and nutrients to all parts of the body while removing carbon dioxide and metabolic waste. Normally, the heart is positioned slightly to the left, meaning most of it lies on the left side of the thoracic cavity.
