What should not be consumed with pineapple beer?
Pineapple beer should generally not be consumed together with white radish, high-protein foods, or iron-containing medications.
1. White radish: Pineapple beer is made from pineapple through fermentation and contains a large amount of vitamin C enzymes. White radish is rich in vitamin C. Consuming them together may inhibit thyroid function and lead to goiter. To avoid adverse effects, it is recommended not to eat white radish when drinking pineapple beer.
2. High-protein foods: Pineapple beer contains organic acids such as fruit acid and tannic acid, which can easily react chemically with proteins, causing them to coagulate and deposit, thereby impairing protein absorption in the body. Therefore, pineapple beer should not be consumed with high-protein foods such as eggs, milk, and soy products.
3. Iron-containing medications: The tannic acid in pineapple readily combines with iron ions to form iron salts, which hinders the body's absorption and utilization of iron. Additionally, deposited iron salts may have negative effects on health. Hence, pineapple beer should not be taken together with iron-containing medications.
