Hair washing massage technique
Massaging the scalp while washing hair usually helps improve blood circulation in the brain, promotes metabolism of hair follicles, and relieves headaches. The specific procedures are as follows:
1. The massage therapist should bring the ten fingers together, gently placing the fingertips on the recipient's temples. First, apply circular pressure in a clockwise direction, then repeat in a counterclockwise direction.
2. The therapist places the pads of two fingers on the recipient's glabella (the area between the eyebrows), then presses and moves toward the temples.
3. The therapist uses one hand to support the head, while using the index finger and thumb of the other hand to press from the neck up to the junction of the neck and back of the head. Then release the supporting hand, allowing the recipient's head to lower naturally.
As the head is one of the most important parts of the human body, it is recommended to have head massages performed by a professional massage therapist under medical guidance.
