Introduction
The characteristics of allergic cough asthma include insomnia, urinary incontinence, and airway spasms. Allergic cough asthma is generally caused by genetic defects in the body that lead to immune system dysfunction. When the respiratory mucosa comes into contact with allergens, it triggers persistent coughing, resulting in insomnia in patients. In addition, a distinguishing feature of allergic cough asthma is diminished wheezing sounds in the lungs.

The characteristics of allergic cough asthma include insomnia, urinary incontinence, airway spasms, etc.

1. Insomnia

Allergic cough asthma is generally caused by genetic defects in the body that lead to immune system dysfunction. When the respiratory mucosa comes into contact with allergens, persistent coughing occurs, resulting in insomnia in patients.

2. Urinary Incontinence

During an episode of allergic cough asthma, intra-abdominal pressure gradually increases due to severe coughing. The sphincter muscles cannot withstand this pressure and fail to normally prevent urine leakage, leading to urinary incontinence.

3. Airway Spasm

If a patient experiences persistent episodes of allergic cough asthma, the smooth muscles undergo spastic contraction, increasing respiratory resistance and causing airway spasms.

In addition, another characteristic of allergic cough asthma is diminished wheezing sounds in the lungs. It is recommended that patients avoid allergens in daily life and carry emergency medication at all times. Medications such as compound methoxyphenamine capsules, budesonide propionate inhalation suspension, and cetirizine hydrochloride tablets may be used according to medical advice.
