Introduction
Small, itchy blisters on the back of the hand may be caused by eczema, allergies, neurodermatitis, or similar conditions. Treatment may include topical medications such as calamine lotion, tacrolimus ointment, or pimecrolimus cream, used under a doctor's guidance. Oral medications such as cimetidine tablets, promethazine hydrochloride tablets, or diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablets may also be taken. Additionally, avoid scratching the affected area and exposure to allergens.

Generally, small blisters on the back of the hand accompanied by intense itching may be caused by conditions such as eczema, allergies, or neurodermatitis. A detailed analysis is as follows:

1. Eczema

Eczema may develop in patients with chronic infection foci, irritation from synthetic fabrics, or consumption of allergenic foods ("trigger foods"), which can obstruct sweat excretion and lead to small itchy blisters on the back of the hand. It is recommended that patients clean the affected area with normal saline under medical guidance and apply topical medications such as calamine lotion, tacrolimus ointment, or pimecrolimus cream for treatment.

2. Allergy

Allergic reactions are skin injuries triggered by antigenic stimulation, possibly due to consuming allergenic foods or exposure to animal dander, pollen, etc., which may result in small itchy blisters on the back of the hand. Patients may take medications such as cimetidine tablets, promethazine hydrochloride tablets, or diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablets under medical supervision. Additionally, scratching the affected area and exposure to allergens should be avoided.

3. Neurodermatitis

Neurodermatitis is a skin disorder primarily characterized by severe itching, possibly triggered by high levels of psychological stress or irritation from chemical products, leading to small itchy blisters on the back of the hand. Under medical guidance, patients may apply topical treatments such as desonide cream, mupirocin ointment, or dampness-removing and itch-relieving ointment.

In addition to the common causes listed above, this condition could also be caused by tinea manuum (hand fungus). Patients are advised to maintain a positive mood and avoid staying up late or experiencing anxiety.
