Introduction
Bronchial asthma is generally not contagious. This condition may result from inherited genetic factors, or from exposure to allergens, environmental pollution, or improper use of non-corticosteroid medications or antihypertensive drugs, leading to chronic airway inflammation. Other contributing factors include emotional stress and intense physical exercise. Since there is no source of infection or transmission route, the disease is not transmissible.

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory response of the airways and is generally not contagious.

Bronchial asthma may result from inherited genetic factors or be triggered by postnatal exposure to allergens such as pollen, dust mites, environmental pollution, or improper use of non-corticosteroid medications or antihypertensive drugs, leading to chronic inflammation in the airways. After onset, symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath commonly occur. Other contributing factors include emotional stress and intense physical exercise. Since there is no infectious source or transmission route, bronchial asthma is not transmissible.

After onset, timely treatment is recommended. For example, corticosteroids such as mometasone furoate nasal spray, fluticasone propionate inhalation aerosol, or beclomethasone dipropionate inhalation aerosol should be used according to medical advice to suppress inflammation, improve symptoms, prevent severe breathing difficulties, and avoid hypoxia or life-threatening complications.
