Introduction
In most cases, a hard, swollen lump in the deltoid muscle of the right arm may be related to mosquito bites, ganglion cysts, sebaceous cysts, lipomas, or dermatofibromas, and targeted treatments can be applied accordingly. Mosquito bites may trigger an inflammatory response in the deltoid muscle of the right arm, with usually obvious symptoms such as local itching, pain, and redness or swelling with papules at the affected site.

Under normal circumstances, a hard, swollen lump in the right arm's deltoid muscle may be related to mosquito bites, ganglion cysts, sebaceous cysts, lipomas, or dermatofibromas, and targeted treatments are available. It is recommended to seek timely medical evaluation and treatment at a hospital. Specific causes are as follows:

1. Mosquito bites

Mosquito bites may trigger an inflammatory reaction in the deltoid muscle of the right arm. Symptoms are usually obvious and may include local itching, pain, and red, swollen papules at the affected site. Treatment under medical guidance may include medications such as paeonol ointment, camphor menthol salicylate emulsion, or calamine lotion.

2. Ganglion cyst

A ganglion cyst results from increased fluid within the tendon sheath, forming a lump typically near a joint. The right arm may experience pain, swelling, and a palpable, movable mass that may feel like it shifts during movement, causing discomfort with activity. Following medical advice, symptoms can be alleviated using medications such as aspirin tablets, diclofenac sodium sustained-release capsules, or ibuprofen sustained-release capsules.

3. Sebaceous cyst

A sebaceous cyst forms when secretions from sebaceous glands accumulate beneath the skin. These cysts are usually mobile, painless, and have a smooth surface; they may contain pus or fatty material inside. Treatment requires surgical excision of the sebaceous cyst at a hospital.

4. Lipoma

A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of fatty tissue, growing slowly. It is typically soft, smooth-surfaced, movable, and painless. In most cases, lipomas are harmless and do not require treatment. However, if a lipoma causes pain, compresses surrounding tissues, or leads to other discomfort, prompt medical attention is needed, and surgical removal via lipoma excision may be necessary.

5. Dermatofibroma

Dermatofibroma is a common benign tumor usually composed of collagen fibers and other cell types. It typically presents as a small, soft nodule, with a color similar to the surrounding skin, and is generally painless. Under medical guidance, topical medications such as recombinant human interferon α2b gel, triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream, or adapalene gel may be used to relieve discomfort.

In daily life, maintaining regular作息 (sleep patterns), moderate exercise, and a healthy lifestyle is beneficial for overall health.
