Introduction
White material in the tonsil cavities is generally not serious and is usually caused by conditions such as tonsillitis, tonsil stones, or tonsil cysts. Besides these common causes, other possible diseases—such as tonsillar keratosis—may also be responsible. Various factors can lead to tonsil disorders, and an accurate diagnosis requires a medical examination at a hospital. Treatment should be administered accordingly under a doctor's guidance.

White substances in the tonsil crypts are generally not serious and are usually caused by conditions such as tonsillitis, tonsil stones, or tonsil cysts.

1. Tonsillitis: Infections or excessive voice use can lead to inflammation of the tonsils, resulting in white spots on the tonsils. Main symptoms include sore throat, mucosal congestion and swelling, and coughing. Treatment under a doctor's guidance with anti-infective medications such as moxifloxacin tablets or levofloxacin tablets can improve symptoms.

2. Tonsil stones: These form when inorganic salts calcify within the depressions of the tonsils. Symptoms mainly include difficulty swallowing, ear pain, and sore throat. In severe cases, white spots and fever may occur. Regularly gargling with warm saline water can help relieve mild symptoms. For severe cases, surgical treatment under medical supervision may be necessary.

3. Tonsil cysts: Inflammatory secretions may block the tonsillar gland ducts, leading to cyst formation. This condition typically presents as small white granules and may also cause sore throat, ear pain, and difficulty swallowing. Under medical guidance, antibiotics such as ampicillin tablets or amoxicillin tablets can be prescribed. Severe cases require surgical removal of the cyst at a qualified hospital.

Besides these common causes, other possible conditions such as tonsillar keratosis may also be responsible. Various factors can contribute to tonsil disorders, so it is important to visit a hospital for proper examination, diagnosis, and targeted treatment under a doctor’s supervision.
