What to eat before menstruation to help expel stagnant blood

Introduction
In general, before menstruation, it is acceptable to consume foods such as brown sugar ginger tea, donkey-hide gelatin (ejiao), and bird's nest. Additionally, under medical guidance, medications like Yimucao Granules, Xinshenghua Granules, and Danggui Tiaojing Granules may be taken to help expel stagnant blood. Besides these common foods and medications, one may also eat longan, red dates, and fresh vegetables, or take other prescribed medicines such as Tiaojing Yangxue Pills, Jingqian Shu Granules, and Xuefu Zhuyu Capsules according to a doctor's instructions.
