1. Individuals with poor blood sugar control: Mulberries have a considerable sugar content, especially glucose and fructose, which are easily absorbed types of sugar. Consumption by individuals with unstable blood sugar levels can cause rapid increases in blood glucose, which is detrimental to condition stability and may trigger various complications, endangering health.

2. Individuals with spleen deficiency and loose stools: Mulberries are cold in nature. People with spleen deficiency and loose stools already have weak spleen and stomach functions and poor digestion. Eating mulberries can worsen spleen and stomach cold deficiency, affect the transformation and transportation functions of the spleen and stomach, exacerbate symptoms of loose stools, and lead to physical discomfort.

3. Individuals with kidney insufficiency: Mulberries contain relatively high levels of potassium. Those with kidney insufficiency have reduced kidney function in excreting potassium. Consuming excessive mulberries could lead to elevated blood potassium levels, causing hyperkalemia. Severe cases may affect heart function and even endanger life.

4. Individuals currently taking medications: Components in mulberries may interact with certain medications. For example, when taken with iron supplements, it may affect iron absorption; when used together with sedative-hypnotic drugs, it may enhance the drugs' sedative effects and increase the risk of adverse reactions. Therefore, individuals taking these medications should be cautious.

5. Elderly individuals: Elderly people experience gastrointestinal function decline and have weaker digestion and absorption abilities. Mulberries contain considerable tannic acid, which can affect the absorption of nutrients from food. Additionally, their cold nature can easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort in the elderly, leading to problems such as indigestion and abdominal pain.

Before consuming mulberries, one should fully understand their own health condition and any contraindications to avoid adverse consequences caused by excessive intake or mistaken consumption.
