Introduction
In general, pain in the upper left abdomen, back pain, and stomach bloating may be caused by conditions such as reflux esophagitis, cholecystitis, or pancreatitis. Patients should identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. Besides these three conditions, other possible causes include gastritis, gastric ulcer, colorectal cancer, and stomach cancer. It is recommended to seek medical attention promptly and receive symptomatic treatment under a doctor's guidance.

Left upper abdominal pain, back pain, and stomach bloating are generally caused by conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), cholecystitis, or pancreatitis. Patients should identify the underlying cause and receive appropriate treatment. Specific analyses are as follows:

1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

GERD causes the contents of the stomach and duodenum to flow back into the esophagus, leading to erosion or ulcers in the esophageal mucosa. This may result in symptoms such as left upper abdominal pain, back pain, and stomach bloating. Under medical guidance, patients may take medications such as omeprazole enteric-coated capsules, domperidone tablets, sucralfate chewable tablets, and hydrotalcite chewable tablets for treatment.

2. Cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is a common gastrointestinal condition, usually caused by gallstones, roundworms, or other factors that irritate the gallbladder and trigger inflammation. Symptoms may include left upper abdominal pain, back pain, and stomach bloating. Treatment includes fasting, fluid replacement, and rest. Additionally, medication should be used under a doctor's supervision. Commonly used drugs include atropine sulfate tablets, anti-inflammatory and bile-promoting tablets, and clindamycin phosphate injection. For patients with severe symptoms, cholecystectomy may also be performed.

3. Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is a digestive disorder involving damage to pancreatic tissue and function. It typically presents as upper abdominal pain, with varying extent and severity depending on the condition. Symptoms such as left upper abdominal pain, back pain, and stomach bloating may occur. In such cases, patients should follow medical advice for drug treatment. Commonly used medications include octreotide acetate injection, cefoperazone sodium for injection, and prednisone acetate tablets. For patients with severe or persistent symptoms, surgical treatments such as regional pancreatectomy or pancreatic duct drainage may be performed at a qualified hospital.

In addition to the above three causes, similar symptoms may also result from other conditions such as gastritis, gastric ulcer, colorectal cancer, or gastric cancer. It is recommended to seek timely medical attention and receive symptomatic treatment under a doctor’s guidance.
